I know they dont believe he was the foretold Messiah and he claimed to be but didnt really fulfill any of the prophesies of the Messiah. He didnt deliver the Jews or rebuild Israel.
He also tried to change Judaism and the traditions so it seems to me that he could have actually been a false prophetIs Jesus a false Prophet in Jew's eyes?
A false prophet because he made a few prophecies that didn't come true, such as the Temple would be destroyed with not one stone left standing. Actually there are whole entire walls that were left standing and are still there today. I forget what the other couple of prophecies were but they didn't come true either.
Mainly the Jews consider Jesus to either not have actually existed, or as a false Messiah for failing to fulfill the actual Jewish prophecies - which are the ones that most Christians say he will fulfill in the ';second coming';. You know, no more war, temple rebuilt, no more illness, no more poverty, etc. Because there has never existed in Judaism the idea of the Messiah having to come back a second time. Nor of a Messiah who is sacrificed for anyone's sins, or born of a virgin or any of that.
It's completely different in Judaism from Christianity. And Jesus didn't do what the Messiah is supposed to do according to Judaism, so is a false messiah.
And yes, breaking the Law as Jesus did several times in the new testament and teaching his followers to do it too, definitely disqualifies him as the Messiah according to Judaism. Is Jesus a false Prophet in Jew's eyes?
It is true that he was but unfortunately most Jews I have met have no world-Torah view but rather a view of Rabbinical Torah bPeh additions.
Why I say this is they don't view Christians as a Jewish cult but rather as a completely separate nation. This flies in the face of what the curses say about fallen Jews being driven out of the land to work for the gods of others. It also ignores the history of forced conversions.
The materanal rather than the paternal tribe rule of Torah means more people of Israel will be lost from Torah and the nation in general weaker. Add this to the new complexities they add (fences) and we see fewer and few of the nation clinging to Torah and rules like observing Shabbat.
Because most of what is taught and done in Synangigue is structured performative language chanting and not actually learning and contemplating Torah, the deep impact of the false prophet is not fully comprehended.
If they understood from the text how important this false prophet test was and how important it was to avoid corruption of Torah, I think Rabbinical Judaism would change. The ones I debated with do not believe God had anything to do with the false prophet but rather magicians doing tricks.
If they understood Jesus was not only the false prophet but the punisher who came because these unquestionable leaders were wrong and Israel was falling, I think we would see a different type of Israel today. More peaceful an blessed.
If you refer to historic times, specifically the birth of Christianity, you are correct. However, you must keep in mind that non-biblical records do not record his existence or crucifixion during the period that is described in the Bible.
Referring to modern times, Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah, consequently, that would make him a heretic. Whether Jews refer to Jesus as a false prophet is easily contested, as he did not claim to be a prophet, but rather the Messiah prophesied in the Torah.
From personal experience this sunday we had our passover service. We had a guest there and he was explaining that being Jewish is a birth right and not a choice. But the religion of Judaism believes that the Christian Jesus was just a man. But the Talmud (Jewish bible) has an interesting story about a man Yeshu (Jesus) that had a birth story like the Christian Jesus but explained by a rape and not the holy spirit. Talmud describes Yeshu as a heretic who dabbled in sorcery and lead the people astray.
Some Jews didn't believe that Jesus is the Messiah that's why they crucified him.
1Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
Every ';prophet'; and everybodys ';God'; is a false one in jews eyes. Theyr ordered to treat all gentiles (non jews) like animals in their taurah, and kill us all.
P.S screw pissrael
Jesus was either a lunatic a liar (satan) or what he claimed to be ( God) I believe he is God but the Pharisees of his time would not accept that and so Jews every since have not.
The jewish faith, same as islam, simply sees him as one of the prophets, not the messiah.
He wasn't even a prophet to begin with.
So who would the true Prophet be?
