My false upside down catfish has a cloudy eye?

she keeps getting a cloudy eye for some reason. I put medicine in the tank and it goes away for a long while then comes back. I have had her for 1 year. How do I get rid of it for good? It is so annoying! I am afraid she might die or something. The tank is always nice and clear. She has a big fat goldfish as a tankmate. My false upside down catfish has a cloudy eye?
Cloudy eyes are generally due to dirty water. Just because your water is clear doesn't mean it doesn't have excess nitrates in it. Especially with a goldfish, you should be changing at least 25% of the water once a week. If you have them in anything less than a 15 gallon tank, do two changes a week.

Keeping the water clean will do a lot more to keep your fish healthy than medicine in this situation. My false upside down catfish has a cloudy eye?
Call your local pet store and they should have a good recommendation for the best medicine available. You could also call a fish hatchery, they would be knowledgeable of things like that.
It's ick that does that.Treat the tank every 2 weeks for one month or twice. One treatment often doesnt kill all the fungus at the bottom and that is where she lives.
It's due to poor water quality. It's a bacterial infection. You need to do water changes and change your filter. Then check the water chemicals. The addition of salt to the aquarium can also ease the disease and prevent reinfection alternatively use a commercial anti-bacterial medication.
